Early in his career, Curreri directed music videos through
New York’s Notorious Pictures while also gaining experience as a colorist with
The Image Group. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 1999 to join Riot, he chose to
focus on color correction. He quickly established himself in music videos and
formed close bonds with several young directors. He’s spent the past four years
working at The Syndicate in Santa Monica.
Curreri says he was lured back to the studio by its
commitment to leading edge technology and the opportunities DI presents. His
career highlights include winning the 2006 MVPA Award for Best Color Correction
for his work on My Chemical Romance’s music video, Helena. On the agency side, he has worked on projects for
JC Penney, Toyota, Dreyer’s, AP/PM and Honda.
