Chomet and Optic Flavor now offer a range of creative services, including
editorial, 3D animation, 2D animation, complex visualizations, compositing, and
photo-realistic renders. Based in the facility's new and expanded studio in
midtown Manhattan are Optic Flavor creative director/co-owner Stephan Zlotescu,
VFX supervisor Jim Yeo and project coordinator Shamim Seifzadeh. Chomet
producer Bethel Dudt will act as project manager, handling interaction with all
Chomet clients.
Optic Flavor's European staff includes VFX supervisor/co-owner Vlad Caprini; 3D
animators Andre Ilie and Bogdan Diaconu; modeling/rigging specialist Catalin
Otelea; texturing/lighting/compositing artist Iulian Purcaru; and
particles/dynamics/hair/liquid specialist Razvan "Brazil" Vasilache.
Chomet's primary effects tools, running on high-end graphics PC workstations,
include Maya, After Effects, Z-Brush, Shake, Boujou, Softimage XSI, Deep Paint
3D, Vue 6 Infinite, Corel Painter IX, Poser, Mudbox and Flash.
Optic Flavor is currently at work on their first project under the Chomet
banner, an 18-hour HD self-help series of inspirational tapes for the Life Book
Center. The series will include an additional 18 alternative versions.
