Ayelet Weinerman will serve as president for Animation Lab and has spent the past year laying the groundwork for the studio's plans, which included scouting creative talent and assembling an executive team. An accomplished producer, she anticipates that Animation Lab will generate a half-dozen animated feature films and digital ancillaries over the next eight years.
Animation Lab's core team includes veteran animation executive Douglas Wood, who will serve as executive VP creative affairs. In the past, he served as VP of feature animation development and production at Turner, Warner Bros. and Universal. He was also director of animation at Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment.
The studio's CFO is Arnon Maman, who most recently served in the same capacity at Whale Communications, where he was instrumental in the company's July 2006 acquisition by Microsoft. Uri Adoni is head of marketing and new media, having worked in the new media arena at MSN Israel.
