Movimento is a video-based tool that allows users to capture
the motion of any non-rigid objects, such as humans and animals, from
synchronized image sequences. Cameras can be fixed or moving, and can capture
at different frame rates. The solution is designed to eliminate the need for a
traditional motion capture studio. Files can be exported as .fbx, .trc, 3DS
Max, Maya, and XSI.
Reallviz hopes to further develop Moviemento through
feedback from Activision.
"Our aim is to help their team increase production speed and
quality to complete projects quicker and more efficiently than ever before,"
says Realviz SFX sales manager for the Americas, Kim Van Hoven.
Movimento is a little over a year old and is also being used
at Framestore CFC in the UK, as well as at WideScreen Games in France and
Glassworks in London.
