THORSTEINSON NAMED PRESIDENT AT HARRIS

Harris acquired Leitch in October 2005. He succeeds Jeremy C. Wensinger, who is being promoted to a senior leadership position within the Harris Government Communications Systems Division.

Thorsteinson joined Leitch Technology Corporation as president and CEO in November 2003. He led the company's financial turnaround and expansion through organic growth and acquisitions. Prior to joining Leitch, Thorsteinson was VP of Grass Valley products for
Thomson Broadcast & Media Solutions, where he was responsible for a variety of product lines including switchers, server/storage units, digital news production, signal management, film imaging product lines, and TV/film production products. Previously, he served as president and CEO of the Grass Valley Group.

Thorsteinson was with Tektronix from 1991 to 2001. As president of the Video and Networking Division of Tektronix, he implemented a major R&D program focused on the transition of the worldwide broadcast industry from analog to digital and into the multimedia age. Previously, he served as president of Tektronix Pacific Operations, one of three units established to accelerate growth in key international markets.
