The suite expands the compositing and visual effects abilities of Avid editing systems by letting users create and integrate their own plug-ins in the native editing interface.
Demos will be taking place at the Avid Developer Pavilion. The latest release brings enhancements to rendering quality and font handling, making Factory Tools better suited for realtime titling.
Highlights will include demonstrations of Organoptics FX, the new AVX plug-in library developed by digital compositor/artist Roger Bolton, who’s worked on both major motion pictures and high-end commercials.
The company will also discuss its plans for future versions of Factory Tools, which will incorporate support for Macs powered by Intel processors, as well as upcoming versions of Avid editing products that will bring HD capabilities to the Mac platform.
