The new
space also features a smaller, 14-seat DI theater, along with Nucoda Film
Master systems for color correction, Barco 2K digital projection, Kinoton and
Simplex 35mm film projectors, a Northlight 2 scanner, and ArriLaser film recorders.
"Without question, digital intermediates have become the
future of post production," says iO Film CEO, Howard Cohen. "Clients and
facilities alike are coming to understand that the post production model is
changing and new workflows are being created. As a result, technologies are also
changing; new tools are necessary, which means new procedures must also be
learned. IO Film is at the forefront of developing the processes for digital
intermediates."
The studio has recently provided DI services for a number of projects,
including upcoming releases such as The Messengers, Black Christmas, Strange
Wilderness and Hood of Horror.
