Tapping the cost efficiencies of SKYPE, which allows users
to make free calls over the Internet, SyncVue combines a frame accurate media
player with realtime collaboration capabilities to create a seamless workflow
environment for editors, animators, directors, producers and advertising
agencies. The application delivers
a synchronized, shared media viewing experience, with no geographical
limitations, to any desktop - Mac OSX or Windows XP - with an Internet
connection.
SyncVue allows users to play any media file supported by
QuickTime, as well as Windows Media and MXF files (via a plug-in from
Telestream). Audio and video chat is also possible.
A virtual laser pointer allows session participants to point
to any visual element of the movie in realtime during playback. Timecode-based
text annotations can also be added during a session or offline.
Upon completion, markers can be exported to Final Cut Pro.
SyncVue for Macintosh and Windows is available immediately
and is priced at $189 per license, with volume discounts available.
