The HPA Summer School “brings together professionals with the knowledge and insight to explain complex new technology and workflow options in straightforward terms,” says HPA president Leon Silverman. Each year, the informative/networking event presents material in a practical way that can be immediately applied to one’s own job.
“Our industry continues to be in great transition,” says Silverman. “How we might shoot, edit, finish and distribute absolutely impacts the post production process.”
This year’s event will include tutorials on “how consumer-level DV and HDV is entering the professional workflow,” and “HD acquisition and workflow choices.” There will also be an update on the new cinema digital cameras and how they are impacting major production choices and workflow.
Silverman, who’s also president of LaserPacific Media Corp, will conduct a session on “Film in the Digital Age” and how the choice of film continues to evolve with powerful new tools and options.
