LOS ANGELES - Zoic Studios (www.zoicstudios.com) has added to its staff, bringing Leighton Greer onboard as senior producer of commercials, and John Shirley on as senior compositor.
Greer was formerly a producer at Entity FX, where she worked on the the feature "Hitch." Before Entity, she enjoyed a tenure at A52, producing effects for such high-end spots as Nike's "Before," Sony's "Signs" and Pontiac's "Mantra."
Leighton also worked as a production manager for Rhythm and Hues, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company's growing commercial division.
John Shirley got his start across the Atlantic, at Das Werk, a leading post house in Frankfurt, Germany. His three-month internship quickly grew into a full time Quantel Henry artist position, assisting on many national and international projects for clients Coca-Cola, ZDF and SAT 1.
Returning to his native Southern California, Shirley's talents elevated him to the position of lead visual effects artist at Encore, working on episodic television shows such as "Six Feet Under," "Ally McBeal" and HBO's "Carnivale." A highly sought-after compositor, Shirley has also worked on music videos for Mariah Carey and Limp Bizkit, as well as on commercial projects for JC Penney and Nestle.
