Phoenix features Autodesk Flame and Smoke HD suites. Three uncompressed edit suites feature Avid (SD) and Apple Final Cut Pro (SD/HD) gear. Resolution independent motion graphics and visual effects are created on Mac G5s with server-based media storage.
While Phoenix previously only offered HD finishing services to projects edited in-house, the studio is branching out to offer HD finishing, as well as visual effects and graphics design, on spots cut by outside editors.
Bob Frisk, Mitra Tyree, Robbie Proctor and Jim Farber offer creative editing at the shop, while Matt Silverman heads its motion graphics and visual effects efforts. Several HD projects have recently come through the studio, including spots for Disney and videos for Apple and Sony. Additional projects posted at Phoenix include effects-intensive spots for Pacific Gas & Electric and HP.
