VELA TO SHOW HD DECODER AT NAB

CLEARWATER, FL - Calling their product "feature-rich and value-priced," Vela will unveil the new CineView HD LE decoder at NAB in Las Vegas next month. The decoder is aimed at today's transition from standard to high definition and promises operators the flexibility to move to HD at a "highly affordable" price.

CineView HD LE decodes all HD ATSC standards, supports both program and transport streams and enables frame-accurate playback of MPEG 4:2:0 video in both HD and SD profiles. The CineView HD LE includes numerous high-end video and audio capabilities, all on a compact half-length form factor. In addition to delivering clear high definition video in 480p, 720p and 1080i, the decoder promises to bring ordinary graphics to life through an advanced 2.5D graphic processing unit, warping engine and multi-plane graphic support.

Users may also elevate their multimedia displays to HD, overlaying animated graphics, logos and text onto HD video with CineView HD LE. Vela may be found at www.vela.com and at NAB 2004 at Vela booth SL-1780.

"Professionals will appreciate the exceptional features of the HD LE," says Vela VP Michele Capps. "The board also comes with integrated PlayAdvantage software, an-easy-to-use and intuitive software GUI that makes decoding functions like playlist creation and clip importing effortless."
