BURBANK, CA - Venice, CA-based design studio mOcean and CMP/West, two components within Craig Murray Productions' group of companies, are joining together in a new Westside facility. The building will be completed in September and will operate under the mOcean banner. The operation will serve the entertainment industry as a full-service creative advertising agency as well as continue to provide film and television clients with a complete range of design and editorial capabilities in the production of theatrical trailers and television image campaigns.
Michael McIntyre will continue to oversee mOcean's total operations, while CMP/West's Richard Redfield will head up the theatrical division for the company. Kevin Aratari will continue to lead the company's broadcast design and commercials division, as well as continue in his role as head of business development.
In 1996, trailer company CMP opened a separate, independent creative division dubbed CMP/West. Later, in 2000, mOcean was created as a unique design-oriented agency specializing in both trailer campaigns and creative design to serve entertainment and non-entertainment industries.
