Designed for the demands of the professional broadcast industry, the 4.7GB discs support 8X write speeds and have a pre-recorded shelf life and archive life of more than 50 years.
Maxell uses a proprietary organic dye recording layer material in the DVD-R Plus Series to help ensure high-quality recording and noise-free playback. The discs are write-compatible with most manufacturers' general purpose DVD-R drives and recorders. After recording, the discs are read compatible with DVD-ROM, DVD-Video and DVD-Audio players.
