BROOKLYN, NY – Leap Year (www.leapyearpost.com) has opened a new post production studio in Brooklyn on the border of Gowanus and Carroll Gardens, with a sweeping view of the New York skyline. The space at 240 Huntington Street is designed to give editors, collaborators and clients a comfortable place to work together in-person, while maintaining the flexibility of realtime remote sessions. Leap Year’s fifth-floor space is filled with light and features a dedicated edit suite overlooking New York City. There’s also a spacious main office, conference room and private space for client calls.

“Candidly, the move was sparked by our previous building being sold – a classic New York story,” shares Kira MacKnight, MD/EP of Leap Year. “While unexpected, it gave us the opportunity to find a home that feels true to Leap Year and is a step up all around. We’re thrilled to be in Gowanus, a neighborhood that feels quintessentially Brooklyn and very much like us. There are so many revitalization efforts happening here right now, and the energy is palpable. We can’t wait to share this new, inspiring space with our team, our editors, and clients alike.”
Leap Year specializes in offline editorial and works closely with brands, agencies and production companies across commercial, branded and entertainment projects. Its curated roster includes editors Kauai, Jeff Watterson, Austen Deery, Nico Frank and Jake Oleson. Some of the studio’s recent work includes projects for Adidas, Anthropic, Spotify, Expedia, Disney and Nike.
