The Mill creates 'Chaos' for State Farm

NEW YORK — The Mill, here, created visual effects for a new State Farm spot in which a giant robot terrorizes a suburban community. State of Chaos features a huge robot that damages cars, rips the roof off a house and sends neighbors fleeing. The live-action spot was directed Jim Jenkins of O Positive. The Mill NY relied on Autodesk’s Maya for modeling, Mudbox for texturing, and Softimage for animation, lighting, and rendering. The Foundry’s Nuke and Autodesk Flame were used compositing. Pixel Farm’s PFTrack and Science D Vision’s 3D-Equalizer were used for tracking. Mental Images Mental Ray served as the renderer.
