DATA DIRECT SHOWS 'PERFORMANCE' STORAGE

AMSTERDAM - At IBC, Chatsworth, CA's DataDirect Networks  (www.datadirectnet.com) is demonstrating the latest version of its Silicon Storage Architecture  (S2A), a performance storage solution for digital intermediate, post, tape-less broadcast, and VOD and streaming applications.

The S2A9900 can write data as fast as it reads it, with guaranteed quality-of-service, providing consistently-predictable performance for large content files and the ingest of multiple data streams. The company is also hosting customer presentations to illustrate how its solutions are being used in the film and television pipelines.

Pacific Title & Art Studio's Andy Tran is on-hand to talk about the solution's use in the Batman movie, The Dark Knight. And Kurt Grubaugh of Microsoft Studio is there to comment on its use for Xbox Live.
