NEW MEDIA: KABOOM'S WEB WORK FOR CHUCK

Director/editor Doug Werby of San Francisco’s Kaboom (www.kaboomproductions.com) recently shot and edited a series of short Web profile films for Charles Schwab. The Transitions package looks at soon-to-be retirees and how they are planning for their future.

While Werby could have shot the four profiles on film, he instead opted to use HD Sony XDCAM EX cameras, and then edited the pieces in Final Cut Pro. Music Orange provided the soundtrack and Slate Run performed the mix. Werby says the final ProRes QuickTime files were sent to Charles Schwabs' internal Web division, where they were converted to Flash files for the new site, which launched in January.
