LEITCH CHOOSES SONIC REELDVD FOR DPSVELOCITYQ

MARIN COUNTY, CA - Leitch Technology (www.leitch.com) is now including Sonic Solutions' ReelDVD Studio DVD authoring software with its dpsVelocityQ nonlinear editing systems. The combination of dpsVelocityQ with Sonic ReelDVD gives nonlinear editors access to the advanced DVD creation capabilities of ReelDVD, which is built on the same DVD formatting technology incorporated into Scenarist, Sonic's high-end authoring system.

"The addition of their ReelDVD software further enhances the DVD creation power of our dpsVelocityQ bundles," says Brad Nogar, Leitch VP/GM for post production. "ReelDVD Studio adds key features such as Dolby Digital audio transcoding, plus new creative options and authoring flexibility."

Sonic ReelDVD Studio has been included with all new dpsVelocityQ boardset and software bundles and fully-integrated turnkey solutions purchased after April 1, 2003. Existing dpsVelocityQ owners can upgrade their current Sonic DVDit! SE to the retail version of ReelDVD at special pricing directly through Sonic Solutions.

The dpsVelocityQ combines dpsQuattrus multi-stream, realtime hardware with an enhanced version of dpsVelocity software to create a fully-integrated, multilayer NLE solution. Features include realtime, full-quality playback of four video streams, up to six graphics streams and four channels of realtime 3D DVE, including perspectives and warps.
