MADRID, SPAIN — SGO (www.sgo.es), the maker of the Mistika post production system, is hosting informative and thought-provoking sessions at their IBC booth in Amsterdam. Colorists, compositors and editors creating content for broadcast, commercials and feature films, can all benefit from the company’s presentations.
Topics being covered during the course of the show include: how to succeed in a competitive post market; opportunities for small and medium-sized commercial facilities; the challenges of delivering high production-value long-form drama and documentaries; and workflows used in some of the industry’s biggest blockbusters. The company will also look at the affects of HFR, HDR and VR on post workflows.
In addition, the very latest evolutions of SGO’s Mistika and Mamba FX are being showcased at IBC. Mistika is a complete post production platform, seamlessly integrating color finishing, compositing and delivery. The system offers features real-time performance, even at 4K 60p and above. Mamba FX is low-cost, high-power, node-based compositing software for Mac, Windows and Linux. Both are resolution, color-space and frame-rate independent.
Also at IBC, SGO is partnering with Canon to display its advancements in HDR technology. Canon has a Mistika system on its stand (it had Mistika at Canon Expo in New York too). The system is drive an end-to-end HDR-4K “Glass-to-Glass” color-process workflow demonstration.
“The Canon HDR-Mistika presentation is cutting-edge and a great exhibit for technology that supports this game-changing technology of HDR,” says SGO's marketing strategies manager, Sofia Pensado. “It is an exceptional space to demonstrate a new color-finishing process.”
