Nice Shoes sponsors Nitehawk Shorts Festival

BROOKLYN, NY — For the second year in a row, NYC-based post house Nice Shoes (www.niceshoes.com) is sponsoring the Nitehawk Shorts Festival. Nitehawk Cinema (www.nitehawkcinema.com), a boutique cinema located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is known for its blend of carefully-curated films with craft beer, cocktails, and food. The festival features a selection of short films from around the world, which will be screened over five days, from November 19th through 23rd.

Nice Shoes will be offering a prize of 20 hours of color grading to go towards the winner’s next film. The studio’s artists were part of the festival’s judging committee, with creative director James Coulson and colorists Gene Curley and Sal Maliftano helping to select the best in show.

“It’s wonderful to be partnered with Nitehawk in supporting the creativity of these artists and filmmakers,” says Curley. “Both years have had a very diverse selection of films, and I’ve enjoyed being part of the judging process.”

The mission of the Nitehawk Shorts Festival is to highlight exceptional short-form film and videos by artists and filmmakers. With a focus on those working in New York, Nitehawk Shorts Festival provides a platform for local, national, and international filmmakers to engage with new audiences and to establish a dialogue with the New York/Brooklyn film community.
