Nashville's Forward adds 2 Quantel Pablo Rio systems

NASHVILLE — Forward LLC has purchased two Quantel Pablo Rio color and finishing systems. The studio was designed by director Shaun Silva, and opened in 2012. In its short history, Forward has worked on music videos for country music artists such as Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney and Kacey Musgrove. Forward also provided services for the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary film, The Irrelevant Giant.

Pablo Rio is Quantel's 4K, high-quality color and finishing system, and is suitable for both 2D and S3D projects. Pablo Rio runs on high performance PC hardware and exploits Nvidia's Maximus multi-GPU technology. Pablo Rio is also available as a software-only solution.

“The Pablo Rio is a culmination of Quantel listening to its customers,” says chief engineer of Forward, Jim Harvath CSTE. “It is very rewarding to see specific items for our needs make it into a product. The flexibility of configuring the Pablo Rio hardware allows us to 'right size' our hardware to what our current workflow demands are. Plus, knowing that we can expand instantly with off the shelf parts allows us to stay competitive and grow as necessary, when we're ready.”
