NAB 2014: Boris FX's BCC 9 includes 200+ filters

LAS VEGAS — Boris FX (www.borisfx.com) is at NAB with Continuum Complete 9, a package of visual effects plug-ins for NLE and compositing platforms on Windows and Mac OS. Version 9 builds on the strengths of previous BCC releases, and adds over 30 new filters and transitions in areas such as image restoration, film, style, keying, compositing, lights, and perspective.

Boris Continuum Complete gives editors and visual artists a comprehensive VFX plug-in suite featuring more than 200 filters. The filters can be used to create 3D particle effects, lens flares, lights, keys, mattes, warps and perspective effects, as well as blurs, glows, and cinematic effects. Image restoration tools are also included. All filters take advantage of either Open CL, Nvidia CUDA, multi-threading or OpenGL hardware acceleration.

Over 1,000 presets are included with each installation of BCC, and all presets can be viewed in the FX Browser window. Custom presets can be saved and shared among teams within the same organization or across the globe. Both static and animated BCC presets are supported in After Effects and Avid platforms. In addition, BCC allows easy VFX migration between Adobe, Avid and Apple video editing software via Boris Transfer, which keeps parameters and keyframe information intact.

BCC 9 AE is available this month for $995. BCC 9 AVX will also be available this month for $1995. In May, BCC 9 OFX will be available for $695. BCC 9 FxPlug will be available in June for $695. A special upgrade fee is available for owners of previous BCC versions.
