HitFilm 3 Pro NLE software set for November release

NORWICH, UK — FXHome Ltd. is taking pre-orders for its video editing and visual effects software, HitFilm 3 Pro (http://hitfilm.com), which will be released on November 24th. Purchasing it through the company’s Website secures a price of $299. HitFilm 3 Pro is a single product that offers tools for editing, 3D compositing, 3D object rendering, particle simulation, color correction and grading. Over 180 fully customizable visual effects are included, plus 130 plug-ins for use in Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, and Apple’s Final Cut Pro X and Motion.

New in HitFilm 3 Pro is a redesigned editor and interface, 3D textures for particles, auto-tracking masks, OpenFX support, 3D fractal particle shapes, 3D camera projection, and professional de-noising. Over 20 new effects include 3D wireframe, heat distortion, and auto volumetrics. Background proxying for complex VFX and a 16-bit OpenEXR pipeline make HitFilm 3 Pro suitable for high quality post production work.

The redesigned editing timeline gives users access to all the tools they need, including slip, slice, ripple and roll edits; audio meters; keyframing; and a new trimmer for fine control. HitFilm 3 Pro includes planar tracking technology from Imagineer Systems, providing mask tracking and 3D camera solving. Sony Vegas users can render HitFilm projects directly on the Vegas timeline. The release’s 64-bit architecture and GPU acceleration ensures the best performance across a wide range of hardware.

The new release is available for both Mac and PC. Mac requirements are OSX 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9, while PC requirements are 64-bit Windows Vista, 7, 8. One HitFilm 3 Pro license contains three separate activations, and includes the HitFilm Plug-ins package launched earlier this year.
