Dog & Pony among first to install Nuage DAW

LAS VEGAS — Dog & Pony Studios, here, recently installed one of the first Yamaha Steinberg Nuage DAW systems in the US. RSPE Audio Solutions in Toluca Lake, CA, installed the system at the facility, which has been in business for 11 years. Dog & Pony’s primary focus is on audio post, sound design, composition, and audio for games. Its clients include MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Skechers, and Aristocrat Technologies, to name a few.

All three of Dog & Pony’s studios are equipped with V.6.07 of Steinberg’s Nuendo production software. The studio has used the software since Version N3.x, along with a number of other Yamaha products, including MSP7 5.1 speaker monitor setups.

“I first learned about the Nuage system on social media, and that followed with a demo by RSPE,” states owner John McClain. “It took just the three or four hours of the demo to know that Nuage was a great fit for our facility. The first thing that strikes me about Nuage is the ability to forgo use of the mouse and keyboard, which, to me, is a huge advantage and the ‘holy grail’ of how a controller should work. The build quality of the system is quite obviously very good.”
