Digital Jungle produces, posts indie 'A Better Place'

HOLLYWOOD — Digital Jungle Post Production (http://digijungle.com) recently completed work on the independent drama-fantasy A Better Place, which marks the first feature-length project for which the studio has handled complete production and post production.

Directed by Digital Jungle founder/president Dennis Ho, A Better Place tells the story of Jeremy Rollins, a shy and underdeveloped young man who was born with a mysterious condition that requires him to live in isolation with his mother. After her death, Jeremy is forced to venture into the world and has to confront — through his childlike innocence — the realities of a harsh society. A Better Place is in the submission process for major film festivals.

The studio used its Quantel Pablo 4K color and finishing system with the Neo Nano control panel to handle the conform, color correction and over 100 VFX shots. "Pablo is a key part of our pipeline and we are continually impressed with its speed, color toolset and phenomenal power,” says Ho. “Our Pablo was a workhorse throughout this project, allowing us to do everything from the conform to the color grade all within a single platform. It really made the post process a breeze."
