Academy event to deconstruct 'Gravity'

LOS ANGELES — On Monday, May 12, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (www.oscars.org) will present an in-depth look at the groundbreaking production methods used to create the multiple Oscar-winning film, Gravity. 

The event will feature several members of the film's creative teams, including VFX supervisor Tim Webber (Oscar-winner), editor Mark Sanger (Oscar-winner) and animation supervisor Max Solomon. Academy governor Bill Kroyer will host the program, which begins at 8pm at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles (7920 Sunset Boulevard). Tickets are $5 and just $3 for Academy member and students with ID.
