Friday's 'Editors' Lounge' to look at DaVinci Resolve 10

BURBANK — The September Editors’ Lounge will look at Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 10, which features a completely redesigned user interface. This Friday, September 27, AlphaDogs Post Production (1612 W. Olive Ave., Burbank) will host The Editors’ Lounge, giving editors and post professionals the opportunity to get an up-close look at all the latest features found in Resolve 10.

Colorist David Block will demonstrate features for dailies and metadata, HSL curve grading, color decision lists, 4K grading and monitoring. Online editor Scott Freeman (Covert Affairs & Suits) will be on-hand to show how simple it is to round trip from Avid Media Composer to Resolve and back again to Media Composer. With over 59 round trips to his credit so far, Freeman will share tricks of trade and valuable shortcuts for finishing with DaVinci Resolve.

Veteran editor Phillip Hodgetts of Intelligent Assistance will also be in the house, showing solutions for round tripping between FCP X and other applications.

The Lounge opens at 6:30pm, and presentations beginning at 7:00pm. The event is free to attend. Register online at: www.editorslounge.com/nextevent.html.
