Design studio T&F opens Culver City location

LOS ANGELES — The principals of design and digital production company Thornberg & Forester (www.thornbergandforester.com) in NYC have opened a new studio in Los Angeles. Located within the Culver City-area offices of Moxie Pictures at 5890 West Jefferson Boulevard, the new T&F studio launched on March 1.

T&F art director/designer Kyle Hurley helped set up an LA-based operation for the company last year and has since played a key role on projects for Toth + Company, Dansko Footwear, DDB Chicago and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Recently T&F worked with the Paris-based Agence Versus (www.agence-versus.com) and Distell Group Limited to relaunch the Bisquit brand with a new web presence and a multifaceted international cross-media marketing campaign. T&F created key campaign artwork, including a :30 brand film that’s live at www.bisquit.com.

"To create a cinematic introduction to the historic Bisquit brand, we focused on quality and craftsmanship," notes T&F co-founder, principal and creative director Justin Meredith. "This project was an incredible partnership involving our great friend Guillame Alix, who worked with us for many years at T&F.  Versus gave us very clear direction, and with their encouragement, we stayed true to the original design ideas and used our talents in animation, editing and cinematic storytelling to make the experience the best it could be."

T&F's round-the-clock workflow fed creative input from Versus to Hurley in LA through Meredith and others in Manhattan, including head of production Javier Gonzalez, 3D animator Scott Cannon and editor Nathan Scholtens.  Elizabeth Kiehner served as executive producer on the project. The team used Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and Maxon Cinema 4D to complete the assignment.
