Cinedeck grows North American team

NEW YORK — Cinedeck LLC (www.cinedeck.com), which develops mobile capture systems for motion picture and broadcast production, has added to its team. The company has signed former Assimilate product specialist Michael Forrest as its new product specialist for the West Coast, along with Daine Pearson, from US sales and marketing company Asia Media Products, as its new sales engineer for the East Coast.

The signings follow the recent appointment of Suzette Ferguson as Cinedeck senior VP of worldwide sales, and are designed to leverage recent successes for the Cinedeck MX and RX. Cinadeck has made sales recently to Madison Square Garden in NYC and Vendata in Los Angeles. Its products have also been deployment on Bravo channel’s culinary show Top Chef, and for The Rolling Stones’ recent New York concerts.

Forrest (above) will work from Los Angeles on product R&D, liaising with customers on workflow integration, technical support and training. He is a multiple Emmy Award-winner for broadcast design and editing, and has over 17 years of experience as a creative digital artist, producer and online editor/colorist.

Pearson (right) brings a wealth of file-based production knowledge to Cinedeck. He joins the company after a successful stint as sales manager with Asia Media Products (AMP), where he helped to introduce Cinedeck RX and MX systems to major customers, including US Navy/Dahlgren, NBC and CNN. Prior to AMP, Pearson was the technical and marketing specialist for Grass Valley’s Infinity range of file-based products.
