Independent films capture 60 Oscar nominations

LOS ANGELES — The Independent Film & Television Alliance reports that independent films captured 60 nominations in feature categories for the 84th Academy Awards. The IFTA (www.ifta-online.org) is a global trade association focused on the independent motion picture and television programming industry. The organization represents and provides entertainment industry services to more than 150 member companies from 23 countries.
