VidOvation & NuMedia Technology to give away lossless compression system

ALISO VIEJO, CA — VidOvation (www.vidovation.com) and NuMedia Technology have partnered to give away a DP400 1.5G HD-SDI to 270M SDI Dirac Pro visually lossless standalone compression systems.  The system uses Dirac Pro wavelet compression to convert 1.5Gbps HD-SDI video into a 270Mbps signal.

Through June 30, post pros can enter to win a DP 400 encoder and decoder by providing a compelling story of how the system will improve or streamline their business. Submissions can be sent by email to: dirac@vidovation.com.

The DP400 gives older legacy systems the capability of supporting high definition video on a 270Mbps coax or fiber infrastructure. Now, studios can support HD-SDI without upgrading cabling, distribution and routing systems. Telephone companies and video common carrier service providers offer affordable video transport services at 270Mbps. Broadcasters and government agencies can now transport 1.5G HD-SDI over 270Mbps Telco circuits.

“We are very pleased to partner with NuMedia technology, the manufacturer of the DP 400,” says Jim Jachetta, president/CEO of VidOvation. “We are giving away a DP 400 encoder and decoder to the candidate with the most compelling story describing how the system will improve or streamline their business.”
