Northern Lights expands audio division with Storyk-designed 5.1 suite

NEW YORK - Northern Lights (www.nledit.com), a boutique studio offering editing, finishing, VFX, design and audio mixing, has launched a new 5.1 surround sound audio room, which was designed by architect/acoustician John Storyk of the Walter Storyk Design Group. The suite is manned by Ted Gannon and Damon Trotta (pictured).

"I've always wanted a Storyk room so I'm very excited," comments Northern Lights main audio engineer Damon Trotta, who has an Emmy under his belt. "We designed the room to make sure it fit all of our needs and outfitted it with tremendous flexibility, including Pro Tools HD, Logic 9, Millennias, Distressors, Neumanns and surround Focal Monitoring."

"We rely on the creative energy the audio team brings to every project. And with this new room, we can push that even further," adds Northern Lights executive producer Robin Hall.

Current projects include a series wrap for USA's #1 show Covert Affairs, Food Network's Private Chefs of Beverly Hills and a Macy's Back-to-School spot for Nickelodeon.
