Sony’s SXRD 4K projector will be used to present a variety
of materials, including 65mm and 35mm film originated footage, and footage
acquired in 4K with the Dalsa Origin camera.
The list of panelists is set to include digital projection
expert, Nathaniel Bonini; Dalsa Digital Cinema president, Rob Hummel; Jesse
Rosen of Abel Cine Tech; Mark Steele of the Tribeca Film Festival; and Joe
Byrne of Post Works, NYC. The group will explore the value of 4K for
production, post and projection, and will also look at the importance of
screening digitally-acquired footage while still in production, rather than
waiting until post.
The event will take place on Monday, January 22nd from 7:00-10:00pm
at the Tribeca Screening Rooms, located at 54 Varick Street in New York City. It
is open to all professionals and SMPTE members are encouraged to attend. To
