H.264 delivers high quality video
at low data rates and in smaller file sizes. The stock provider's preview
videos also contain metadata that is searchable via the Spotlight feature in
Apple's Mac OS X Version 10.4 Tiger operating system.
The H.264 video codec has been chosen as the standard codec for 3GPP (mobile
multimedia) as well as for the high definition HD-DVD and Blu-ray formats. BBC
