ADOBE PREMIERE PRO RETURNS TO MAC PLATFORM

Production Studio is designed for film, video and Web professionals and includes After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Encore DVD and the new audio tool, Soundbooth.

The software made its public debut at the Macworld 2007 Conference and Exhibition in San Francisco, and Adobe reps say Production Studio is expected to ship in mid-2007, though pricing has not yet been announced.

The new Soundbooth application is designed to enable creative professionals in any discipline to produce high-quality audio tracks. The tool lets users record, edit, and customize audio and music for Web and video production, and replaces the Audition application in the Production Studio package. Adobe Audition will continue to be developed for audio professionals as a standalone product for Windows.

Production Studio applications take advantage of time-saving workflow enhancements offered by Adobe Dynamic Link. Dynamic Link eliminates the need for rendering when moving motion graphics and visual effects from After Effects to the realtime HD, SD and DV editing environment of Premiere Pro and Encore DVD.

Production Studio as well as Premiere Pro, Encore DVD, and Soundbooth will be available for Intel-based Macs. The next releases of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator will be offered as Universal Binaries for the Mac. Production Studio and all its components will continue to be available for the Windows platform.
