WIDGET ACQUIRES WARNER BROS.' FORMER AUDIO FACILITY

In early 2005, Widget also acquired the space that formerly served as Digital Sound & Picture.

Located in West Hollywood, The Lot features dubbing stages, an ADR stage, a Foley stage, a sound transfer department and a 130-seat screening room, in addition to its four large dubbing stages. In addition, the facility has offices that are available for rent by production companies working with Widget.

Films such as North Country, Four Brothers and Serenity were mixed there recently. The Lot will remain operational throughout the transition, with plans to add several technical and aesthetic upgrades to the facility in the near future.

Widget’s existing space includes eight edit suites, a large sound supervisor bay, an ADR stage and a full-size Foley stage with 11 pits. The studio recently provided audio post on the feature films The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, King Kong and Syriana. The company plans to expand its staff and will be adding mixing teams and an ADR mixer to be based at The Lot.
