LOS ANGELES - The team from Groove Addicts (www.grooveaddicts.com) recently went on location to Jose Feliciano's Connecticut estate to record his guitar and Spanish vocal tracks for music featured in some of the latest One Touch Ultra commercials. Executive producer/creative director Dain Blair and the team recorded the Latin pop phenomenon's vocals, which are part of composer guitarist Carl Verheyen's original song.

A second session took place at Digital Insight Recording Studios in Las Vegas. Leonardo Ricagni of A Band Apart in LA directed "Diabetes Can Hurt" and "Diabetes Never Waits," both of which were cut in :30 and :15 versions by Brian Lagerhausen at FilmCore in San Francisco. The spots were conceived by the San Francisco agency Anderson DDB. Retina, also in San Francisco, handled the online. Engineer Vance Walden of SF's One Union Recording mixed the spots.

Musicians on the original track included Carl Verheyen, composer/guitar; Bruce Watson, guitar; Bernie Dresel, drums; Cliff Hugo, bass; Julio Figueroa, percussion; Jim Cox, keyboards; and Jose Feliciano, lead vocal and lead guitar. The track was recorded and mixed by Gerhard Joost at Groove Addicts.
