DIGITAL DOMAIN PUTS BURGER KING IN NFL ACTION

Burger King's latest in the series shows Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green throwing a ball to The King, and it was up to the artists at Digital Domain (www.d2.com) to replace Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez with the likeness of the burger franchise's spokesperson.

Crispin, Porter & Bogusky is the agency behind the latest "NFL" spot, which promotes specially-coded Angus burger wrappers that can earn patrons a free day of the NFL Sunday Ticket package from DirecTV.

Erik Nash directed the commercial. Jason Cohon served as producer for Digital Domain, with Zak Thornborough acting as production supervisor and Mike Montenegro serving as production coordinator. The studio provided rotoscoping and Flame compositing on the commercial, with Nash also acting as VFX supervisor.

Cosmo Street's "Katz" cut the commercial, with Thomas Immer assisting. The archival action plays out in slow motion, with the camera following a long pass to the surprise receiver, who takes it in for a touchdown. The spot features sound design by Margarita Mix.
