CHAINSAW NOW CUTTING IN EUROPE

Chainsaw Europe (www.chainsaweurope.com) is one of the few studios in Eastern Europe to offer both digital post production facilities for film, television and commercials and an experienced US-local European staff. Since opening, the studio has posted projects for agencies Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi, J. Walter Thompson, Publicis and Leo Burnett. Spots include work for Procter & Gamble, Sony, Heineken, Toyota, Unilever, Philip Morris and Renault. In addition to work from LA and Texas, the studio has also attracted business from London, Moscow, Sweden, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Hungary, Slovenia and Turkey.

"The success of the movie 'Cold Mountain' and other TV and movie projects raised Romania's profile as an excellent place to make and produce beautiful films, commercials and TV for far less money," says Bill DeRonde, president/founder of Chainsaw. "The costs in Romania are half of what they are in London and a third less than those in Budapest or Prague. Romania has become the new Prague."

Chainsaw Europe also offers production project management, from hiring and quality control of local crews to the booking of talent, studio space, music and other production needs. The Californian-styled studio in Bucharest, which is the mirror image of its counterpart in Los Angeles, has Avid Symphony for online editing, 3D capabilities, Avid Adrenalines, and a Digidesign Pro Tools|HD2 DAW. The studio's infrastructure is designed around Avid's Unity MediaNetwork 4.0 storage solution.
