In addition to the acquisition, one of 5 Alarm's newest offerings is Cinemasounds, "A Cut Above," a collection written by film and television composers and recorded at the in-house, Pro Tools-based Firehouse Recording Studios. The collection includes two dozen 5.1 tracks designed for use in high-impact visual scenes.
In related news, the staff of 5 Alarm Music were recently called on by the music supervision company Neophonic, which needed an original gospel cue for the new FX series, "Over There." 5 Alarm created a custom track, composing, recording, mastering and delivering it in just two days.
